This page explains how the SOLARA Malaga deposit and balance process works before guests submit a booking request or pay money. It is written to reduce ambiguity: the form is a request, payment is not taken on the form, and SOLARA confirms availability first.
The payment sequence
- Submit the booking form with your preferred room option and guest details.
- SOLARA reviews availability, room allocation and any dietary, access or travel notes.
- If the place can be offered, SOLARA confirms the room option and sends deposit next steps.
- The GBP 500 deposit secures the place only after it has been received.
- The remaining balance is due 8 weeks before travel unless agreed otherwise in writing.
What payment is not
Submitting the booking form does not charge a card, create an automatic confirmed booking or guarantee a particular room. It gives SOLARA the information needed to confirm whether the place can be offered.

The GBP 500 deposit is requested only after SOLARA confirms availability and your room option. Submitting the booking form does not take payment.
Does the deposit confirm my place?
Yes, once SOLARA has confirmed availability and the agreed deposit has been received, your place is treated as secured subject to the published terms.
When is the remaining balance due?
Unless SOLARA agrees otherwise in writing, the remaining retreat balance is due 8 weeks before travel.
Is the deposit refundable?
The refund policy explains the current draft position. The deposit is described as non-refundable unless SOLARA agrees otherwise or cannot confirm the place.
Can I pay the deposit online?
The current booking flow is manual after availability confirmation. If online payment is introduced, checkout must repeat the deposit amount and refund terms.
